Biography

Fawwaz Muhammad Fauzi is a lecturer in the Biotechnology program at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon, and lecturer in Pharmacy at STIKes KHAS Kempek, where he previously served as Head of LPPM. He holds a background in pure chemistry and pharmacy, and currently teaches across organic chemistry, phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, medicinal chemistry, and natural product chemistry.

His current research trajectory centers on metabolomics-driven halal authentication and functional food biotechnology, building on a foundation in phytochemical analysis and bioassay-guided screening of medicinal plants.

He is committed to promoting scientific literacy among students from Islamic boarding schools, advocating for interdisciplinary education that bridges the natural sciences and Islamic scholarship — and regularly mentors undergraduate research toward publication.
